Open Day

We hold an open day for prospective parents of Nursery and Reception children during October.  Please keep checking our website for a date nearer the time.

The School

Children are admitted during the Autumn Term of the educational year (1st September to 31st August) in which they reach their fifth birthday.
 
Parents are requested to register on the citizen portal which is part of the Bolton local authority website.  This should be done during the September of the year before the child is due to start Reception class.  This is where you will be able to apply for a primary school place.  Bolton LA will offer places during the spring term according to preferences expressed.
 
More detailed information for new starters is presented at a meeting which is held in school prior to the child's admission.  Groups of children visit the Reception Class in the summer term prior to admission into the main school.

Admissions Appeals

You have the statutory right to submit an appeal for a place at our school when your application has been unsuccessful.  The deadline for reception class appeals for the September 2025 intake is Thursday 15 May 2025.

Appeals for in-year admissions can be made at any time.
